Location
Safle

Amlwch is the northern most town in Wales and is situated on the northern coastline of Anglesey. At one time it was a booming mining town that became the centre of a vast global trade in copper ore, with the harbour inlet becoming a very busy port and significant shipbuilding and ship repair centre.

Those days have gone but can still be brought to life with a visit to the Copper Kingdom and a trip to Parys Mountain where the copper ore was once mined.

Mount View is ideally situated for both short and longer term breaks. Only a few minutes’ walk from the Coastal Path, Mount View is within walking distance of a couple of the town’s café’s, two pubs, and the local chippy!

Mount View is around 20 miles from the town of Holyhead, with its country parks, South Stack lighthouse & cliffs, and the RSPB reserve. Why not take a day trip to Ireland sailing from Holyhead Port?

Not been to Anglesey for 60 years precisely - pleased to see it’s not changed a bit! This is a cracking site, small, perfectly run by Karl & Julie, nothing is too much trouble for either of them.
The camping field is like a billiard table, Julie attends to that. Karl is always ‘doing something’ either on the site or in his barn. Fresh eggs always available from the free range hens on site, immaculate facilities, an adequate sufficiency of advisory notices ……!
The site is ideally placed at the East end of Amlwch, ~10 mins walk to the village centre for the Port Chippy and the Albion Vaults boozer next door.
Leave the site, turn right, walk 100 yards turn right down the path to the path - head East or West on the stunning coastal path as far as you like, get the 62 bus back, or bus out and walk back to Amlwch.
Bus stop 10 mins up the road by the co-op with buses to / from everywhere.

Will deffo return!

One of the towns biggest & most interesting attractions, Pary’s mountain.
During your stay at Mount View, would you like to find out about the history of Pary’s mountain, in its time the largest producing copper mine in the world, and its links with Amlwch port and the Town of Amlwch?
We are able to arrange “Talk & Walk” sessions (subject to availability) with a representative from Geo Mon, a local geology group, who will be able to talk about Parys mountain, its links with the Port and the town, and then take you on a guided tour of Parys mountain, where they will show you all the points of interest, and explain what exactly you are looking at.
The talk and walk session will take about 2 to 3 hours, and included within the cost of £15 per head is transportation to and from Mount View to Parys Mountain.
Make sure you bring suitable footwear for the walk, flip flops and trainers are not advisable.

“Log Burners”

We have a number of log burners and chimeneas that we are able to rent out to our visitors.
Keep the night going a little longer, having a beer or glass of wine, whether you are talking about the day you have just had or putting the world to rights, there is nothing better than doing it around an open fire.
We can provide a burner at a cost of £15 per night, which includes fire lighter, kindling & fuel.
Speak to Karl or Julie during your visit to Mount View if you want to rent one of the log burners.

"Fresh Eggs"
